The
effective functioning of NISA Trust in the field and
the enthusiastic response received from the people,
attracted the attention of the authorities of the
Government as well as the Judiciary.
As a result thereof , the Kerala State Legal
Services authority decided to join hand with NISA
Trust in conducting classes and seminars. The Kerala
Legal services Authority headed by Justice K.A.Abdul
Gafoor, Judge, High Court of Kerala, has granted
accreditation to the Niyama Sameeksha Trust in the
year 2002.
The NISA Trust introduced a scheme for educating
children in the High School classes on their legal
rights and duties as the future citizen of the
country. The booklets published as per the request
of KELSA named as `NIYAMA PADAM’ has gathered the
approval and approbation of all. The momentum
created by such a movement of NISA Trust was so
great that even the neighboring states approached
NISA Trust for guidance in this regard.

Urban
Poverty Alleviation Programme of the DFID
|
|
The
reputation of NISA Trust in the field of legal
literacy created such an amount of confidence in the
Government, that when the Urban Poverty Alleviation
Programme of the DFID ( Development for
International Development ) funded by United
Kingdom, was scheduled to be introduced in
Corporation of Cochin, the Government as well as the
Corporation of Cochin had no hesitation in
entrusting the work to NISA Trust. More details find

The
Non-Residents Keralites Affairs ( NORKA )
|
|
The
success achieved in the UPAD project prompted the
Government to entrust their new venture for the
welfare of the Non Resident Keralites. The
Non-Residents Keralites Affairs ( NORKA ) Department
constituted by the Government joined hand with NISA
under the name `NORKA-NISA Project’ for alleviating
the legal grievances of the Non Resident Keralites
in the various fields of life.
The extent of confidence reposed in the NISA Trust
is such that the Government are pleased to grant a
sum of Rs.5,00,000/- for the initial activities of
the project with a view to render effective
assistance to the NRIs. NISA Trust has established a
full-fledged office in the heart of the city of
Cochin. A bunch of well trained Advocates are
deputed to effectively attend to the problems
ventilated by the NRIs.

Sree
Narayana Giri

In
addition to the dissemination of knowledge, NISA is
closely affiliated to the activities of Sree
Narayana Giri an organization to look after the
destitute, old and disabled women and children.
The total extent of property in which the
institution is situated is 30 acres of fertile land.
There is a proposal to convert a piece of this
property for the scientific use and plantation of
rare Herbal Medicinal Plants. This institution is
headed by one of the Advisory member,
Adv.V.P.Seemandini.

S.N.V.Sadanam
|
|
The
NISA Trust is associated with S.N.V.Sadanam which is
one of the largest institution providing
accommodation to low paid lady employees. They are
provided with accommodation, food and also
opportunity for self development in the premises.
This institution is headed by Smt. Sherly Prasad who
retired as the Principal of one of the largest and
oldest Government College namely Maharajas College,
Ernakulam.
